International Exams to be Accepted for Foreign Student Applications
  • SAT 1 exam: A minimum total score of 1100 and a minimum 600 math points
  • GCE (A Level - General Certificate Examination) : "A" level in at least 3 subjects and at least one subject should be related with the applied program.
  • ACT exam:  A minimum 24 points of mathematics (Math), science (Science Reasoning), and total (Composite)
  • International Baccalaureate: Having an International Baccalaureate diploma with a diploma score of at least 30.
  • ABITUR: A maximum score of 3;  MATURA : A maximum Matura score of 3,
  • French Baccalaureate : Having the diploma score of minimum 12.
Applications of                                                 
a) On condition that they are in the last year of high school or they have graduated from high school;
1) International students (non-Turkish citizens),
2) Those who are Turkish citizens by birth but have permission from the Ministry of Interior to renounce Turkish citizenship and those who certify that they have a Document on the Exercise of the Rights Granted in accordance with the Turkish Citizenship Law for their children under 18 who are listed in the renouncement document,
3) Those who hold dual citizenship - those who have gained the citizenship of the Republic of Türkiye by application while holding the citizenship of other countries by birth,
4) Those who are Turkish citizens but who have completed their whole secondary education in another country, other than the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) (including those who have completed their whole secondary education in a Turkish institution in another country, other than TRNC)
5) Those who hold the citizenship of TRNC, who reside in TRNC and who have completed their secondary education in TRNC, hold exam results of GCE AL (The General Certificate of Education - Advanced Level) and those who have or will have GCE AL exam results by enrolling and studying at colleges and high schools in other countries between 2005 – 2010
are accepted.
b) Applications of
  • 1) Those who hold the citizenship of the Republic of Turkey, and have completed their secondary education in Turkey or in TRNC
  •  2) Those who hold the citizenship of TRNC (except for those who have completed their secondary education in TRNC, hold exam results of GCE AL (The General Certificate of Education - Advanced Level) and those who have or will have GCE AL exam results by enrolling and studying at colleges and high schools in other countries between 2005 – 2010),
  • 3) Those who hold dual citizenship and whose first citizenship is Turkish by birth as defined in sub-clause 2 of  clause (a) of paragraph 2 of this article (except for those who have completed their whole secondary education in a foreign country other than the TRNC / those who have completed their whole secondary education in a Turkish school in a foreign country other than TRNC),
  • 4) Those who hold dual citizenship, one of which is a citizenship of TRNC (except for those who have completed their secondary education in TRNC, hold exam results of GCE AL and those who have or will have GCE AL exam results by enrolling and studying at colleges and high schools in other countries between 2005 – 2010),
  • 5) Those who hold citizenship of the Republic of Turkey and who have completed their secondary education in schools under embassies in Turkey or in foreign high schools in Turkey or those who hold dual citizenship and whose first citizenship is Turkish by birth as defined in sub-clause 2 of  clause (a) of paragraph 2 of this article are not accepted.
Applicants are ranked according to their secondary education diploma scores. If the candidates request, their applications will also be accepted with their YÖS (FSE) score. 60% of the diploma scores and 40% of the YÖS (FSE) scores will be calculated and they will be ranked according to the calculated score.
